Politics.

The budget and fiscal policy will be the central issue in US politics.  This will be informed by the unfolding economic issues in the European Union and the challenges to their currency.  A fiscal austerity will be the principle upon which the changes are based.

Fashion:

Hems will rise, More clothing and jewelry will emit light.  Black and bright will be a fashion craze.

Business / Investment:

Mergers and Acquisitions will increase.  Mining, Manufacturing and freight forwarding will be the solid investments.  Chinese data.com and dot.CN businesses will be the top speculative choices for those seeking the froth before the bubble.  Real Estate prices will continue to decline in the first and flatten in the 2nd half of 2011.  Cloud computing will continue to rise in use.   A major social network will be compromised.  Risk management will become the unsung hero of business occupations.

Consumer Technology

Mobile browsing will become ubiquitous as 4G footprint spread makes wired networks less necessary. Fiber-optic to the home will continue to slowly spread in select city areas in  Korea, Germany, Japan, a few US cities such as Seattle, Chicago and San Francisco.  Electric Vehicles will find a high end consumer market. Rechargeable batteries will become the default batter purchases for consumer electronics.

Household

Increasingly modular, custom homes will be built using prefabricated units assembled on site at location resulting in complete homes
which could be assembled in under a day.
