• Centralized and remote administration, through a single interface: the new Panda AdminSecure. It includes a Watchdog service to resume the service if it stops by error.

• Automatic daily updates. At least once a day, CVPSecure updates itself automatically and transparently, without administrator intervention.

• Additional security module. This antivirus includes a module which maximizes Internet content security, blocking potentially dangerous Java Applets, ActiveX Controls and malicious Scripts.

• Preventive blocking and detection of unknown viruses. CVPSecure prevents infections from spreading either inside or outside the company. It does this by communicating with the content validation server that stores the files selected by the firewall to be scanned. After establishing this connection, the antivirus blocks and detects unknown viruses by combining heuristic scanning (including three sensitivity levels) for scripts, Win32, Macro, and MS-DOS file formats with content filtering by subject, attachment name and/or file extension.

Name Description

Anti-Hoax This is not a virus, but a trick message warning of a virus that does not actually exist.  Anti-Hoax is the system that protects us against this type of malware.
Anti-Jokes This is not a virus, but a trick that aims to make users believe they have been infected by a virus.  Anti-Jokes are the system that protects us against this type of malware.
Anti-Spam Spam or junk mail involves receiving emails containing product advertising in an indiscriminate manner, from unwanted sources.

Anti-Spyware
Spyware is the name given to programs, ActiveX components or elements with embedded codes in emails or Web pages, aimed at obtaining personal information from the user (surfing habits, tastes, purchasing preferences, bank details, etc.) unknown to them or without having been given their conscious consent.
Spyware examples include:

WebBugs  Elements embedded in emails and which are capable of sending personal user information to a predetermined server when the mail is opened.
Cookies. Programs which monitor surfing habits: programs which act without giving any warning, registering the web pages to which users connect,
the programs they execute etc.
Antivirus Viruses are programs that can tap into computers and IT systems in many different ways, causing bothersome, harmful, destructive and
even irreversible effects. Antivirus is the system that protects us against this type of malware. Compatible with VPN clients Capability to operate over VPNs (Virtual Private Network). A VPN is a special network (this network only exists at logical, not physical, level), which works over a physical network and it allows establishing a link between two machines where the information flow is encrypted.
Web address filtering  Web address filtering allows us to set web addresses to which access is not allowed.
Package filtering by protocol and sender/recipient Capability to filter a communication between two PCs by sender or recipient address, port and transport protocol (TCP / UDP / ICMP. etc) used during the communication. Each time a computer communicates with other using Internet, uses two pairs of values: IP address/ sender port and IP address / recipient port. In addition, the communication is accomplished following a protocol that defines the communication rules. IP address is a number that identify a computer in Internet, and a port number identify each of the "channels" used by a computer to listen to and speak with other computer of the network. When we talk about protocols we can make reference to: how the communication is set and managed (transport level protocol) or the message format for application interchange (application level protocol).
Package filtering by keyword  Capability to filter communications between two PCs by the interchanged date, independently of any other parameter (for example, to filter a package every time a package contains the keyword "virus").
HTTP filter Capability to filter communications done through HTTP protocol. This protocol was originally designed for web navigation, it has a security disadvantage: it can also transport many no-web navigation communications. There are many applications as MSN Messenger capable to communicate using HTTP. This type of filter would allow for example to filter Messenger usage while maintaining Web navigation using HTTP protocol.
Content filter (Parental Lock)  The content filter, also known as Parental Lock, defines which type of web content is denied web access. The definition is based on the type of content and not in the web address, which means that all the Web pages belonging to a category with prohibited content should not be granted access. Cookie filter Cookies are small text files used by Web servers to store and consult user information by entering one of their Web pages from a navigator. The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and personalize the web pages they consult. Cookies may be used to store the surfing information, tastes, etc. of users who are completely unaware this is taking place. The cookies filter has the possibility to block outgoing cookies (sent from the navigator to the server), or incoming cookies (sent from the server to the navigator to be saved on the hard disk). Firewall This is a barrier that can protect information in a system or network when there is a connection to another network, for example, the Internet.
Intrusion Detection System (IDS)  Technology for detecting hackers attacks to our system. A proper implementation of IDS is capable to distinguish a brute force penetration attempt from other licit access.
Anti-Dialers A dialer is a program that uses the modem of a piece of equipment without having received authorization. Dialer protection is a system that protects us against this type of malware.
Anti-Troyans  Strictly speaking, a Trojan is not a virus, although it is often thought of as such. Really they are programs that enter computers appearing to be harmless programs, install themselves and carry out actions that affect user confidentiality. Anti-Trojans are systems that protect us against this type of malware.
Adware and pop-up protection  Sometime banners and advertisements sizes that appear on Internet are not proper for the user connection speed; in those cases it can produce damage in the user navigation by using all the bandwidth. In other cases, these contents appear in pop-up windows while the user is navigating: losing productivity and time if many windows appear simultaneously, sometimes even fill up the entire screen, so the user doesn’t' know how to close them. Adware and pop-up protection is a system that protects us against this type of malware.
Behavioral based protection against worms  Worm is similar to a virus, but it differs in that all it does is make copies of itself (or part of itself).  Behavioral-based protection against worms allows detecting possible worms searching for common activities from this type of malware: massive mail delivery, double extension attachments, to stop their propagation.
